AOR Conference Scholarship Application
Sustainable Oregon 2018, AOR's 40th Annual Conference & Trade Show
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 4TH
RECIPIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAY 11TH
AOR intends to award up to 10 scholarships to cover the registration fees to its annual conference, which will be held at the Hilton Hotel, in Eugene, Oregon on June 13-15th. Additional expenses, such as pre -conference tours, travel, and lodging are the responsibility of the recipient. The conference is a great opportunity for recipients to build their network, and find opportunities for jobs/internships in the solid waste and recycling industry.
AOR is committed to fostering broader diversity in attendance and we welcome applications from anyone demonstrating a need in order to attend the conference. Interested individuals from traditionally underserved communities, people of color, women, and immigrants are encouraged to apply.
If you apply for a scholarship and are not selected to receive one, you will still be able to register for the conference at the earlybird rate.
Recipients of a Sustainable Oregon Conference Scholarship are required to assist in the either the pre-conference packet stuffing party a few days before the conference or work at the registration desk during the event. Additionally, recipients will be assigned volunteer duties either before or during the conference such as assisting with the silent auction, serving as room monitors, assisting with signage, checking in exhibitors, etc.
